Setup was painless, windows 10 detected it straight away but you'll still need to download the latest control panel. Tried it with Project Cars and Forza APEX both were really good (APEX in particular).

Every racing game ever made for the PC was designed around the G25, G27 or this one so you know you're going to get a great experience and support. Even the pedals feel good, the brake pedal in particular now feels more like a brake pedal as the resistance gets firmer the harder you press.Īll in all, if you are after a wheel and pedal set for the PC then you cannot go far wrong with one of these. The extra buttons on the wheel really help giving you 18 push buttons plus the twisty wheel thing as well as your gear shift paddles, but I did find the buttons tricky to press in the middle of a race but maybe that was just because I'm not used to their placement. The wheel is leather bound and feels solid and well made. The wheel also reacts very quickly to input, there's absolutely no delay between turning the wheel and you vehicle responding so it feels quick and sharp, the GT2 feels slightly vague in comparison. The force feedback is strong yet able to convey subtle forces giving a great feeling of when your wheels are losing traction or your back end starts to slide out. Seeing as that wheel cost twice as much (and with no pedals!), it was nice to find that this wheel was not a million miles away in quality. I swapped to this from a Fanatec Porsche GT2 wheel on PC. oh also I use the clutch pedal as my brake. I would not hesitate to recommend the logitech g29 wheel and pedals. So I just set a persistent profile and leave defaults of 900 wheel rotation etc and change wheel settings in game. The only problem with g hub I cannot find a way of making a custom profile for each game, there is a list of profiles but it is kind of limited and doesn't include all my racing games. When I first installed ghub my wheel didn't show up I had to unplug usb and plug it in again then it got detected.

I love the force feedback, I tried logitech gaming software but it was last updated in 2018 so I now use logitech g hub. For some driving games I would just stick to the xbox controller like forza horizon 4 but I love my wheel for euro truck simulator and recently I have gotten into Raceroom racing experience and assetto corsa competizione on pc and they feel fantastic with my g29 so responsive and realistic.

Plenty of buttons on wheel to control your games, I have tried it with gt sport on my ps4 and it worked great but now using it with my pc. Love the paddle shifters, I have a solid object at the back of the pedals at my wall, otherwise the pedals slide even with the wee rubber feet. Thanks for your pointers they did help.What I love about this wheel, it has leather for good grip, the desk clamp is fantastic for attaching to my computer desk securely. However it turns out dinners gonna be the best part of this day for sure.Īnyway, just thought I'd vent soemewhere. In between all this the Mrs is poorly and I'm in the kitchen. All the time I'm having to reboot and start again having steam hang on me a half dozen times at the very least.

I put auto back on to find Mr Driver can only drive in reverse or put it back in neautral (he must be special if he's competitive with only those two selectables). Map them, use them the car starts going into over rev like a mother (you know what). gotta be the starter/ignition thing (not that I know much about this element).
I also notice now that the car's not idling. Go again noticing now that I was never able to use the gas or the brake. Exit again figuring to set the paddles as shifters in the event I've forgotten to do so. I'm stuck in the pits in neutral watching all these lovely Audis drive past me making pretty noises to go with their pretty paint jobs. Make my selections go to track only to find I can't select any gears. There must be a fault in one of the leads then!?! I pulled out the Sq shifter and great, no more disappearing options. it wasn't, as the tried and tested one I have been using in the hse for years met the same issues when introduced. I was convinced it was the new mini mouse/keyboard was either at fault or had a flat battery. There seems to be an issue that only raceroom can detect because in trying to assign buttons and paddles the 'Assign a Button' notice was flashing on and off and disappearing before I could make said selection. Tried uninstalling reinstalling, selecting and unselecting, auto, all sorts. thought I'd be enjoying the Raceroom vr but nothing.
